Anne-Valérie Michaux (Brussels, 1978) has been an attorney since 2002 and worked as a teaching assistant in labour law at the University of Namur from 2005 to 2011. She has also used to teach courses in other contexts on the topics of labour law and legal issues in connection with human resources.

She masters all aspects of human resources law: labour law, social security law and HR tax law. Her areas of expertise include the draft of employment and consultancy contracts, advice on pay scales, consulting for foreign companies looking to develop their business in Belgium, social security for migrant workers, the social status of executives, advice to executives about their end of career, negotiation of terminations (both individual and collective situations) and matters concerning discrimination.

Anne-Valérie regularly publishes articles in various specialised journals focusing on labour and social security law. She was also the author of the work entitled Précis de droit du travail (Labour Law Handbook) published for the first time in 2010 by Larcier editions.

Anne-Valérie is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal des Tribunaux du Travail (J.T.T.) and also belongs to the Commission for social law of the French Brussel Bar. 

Anne-Valérie obtained a law diploma from the University of Louvain (2001 – summa cum laude). During her studies, she also studied at the University of Salamanca (Spain). She later obtained an LL.M. in commercial law from the University of Cambridge (2004 – first class).

Her working languages are French, Dutch and English.

From 2002 to 2010, she worked as an attorney with the firm Claeys & Engels. In 2010, she left this firm to found her own firm, together with Erwin Crabeels. They eventually merged with Reliance Littler in 2013 and participated to the success of Reliance Littler since then.
