RECENT CASE LAW: When an employer pays too much compensation in lieu of notice the employee must reimburse his employer the overpaid amount even if it is due to a calculation error on the salary statement, in application of the theory of unjust enrichment. The erroneous final salary statement does not constitute an acknowledgement of debt. ■
